Background:
I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Colorado
at Boulder. My area of emphasis was vertebrate ecology. My B.A. is in
English Literature. In addition to teaching, I also have worked on
environmental impact statements, consulted with the USDA (on the
development of the National Plant Germplasm System) and the EPA (on the
pesticide registration/reregistration process), and assisted in field
data collection on a Center for Disease Control study of Colorado tick
fever.
This semester I am teaching Human Biology (Biol 011) and Core Biology
(001). I also have
taught Human Anatomy (Biol 030) here at San Joaquin Delta College.
Before teaching full-time at Delta, I taught Anatomy
and Physiology at American
River College and General Biology at
Modesto Junior College.
